The Bible is our rule for faith and practice. The following statement of truth is not intended to be exhaustive:
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
(Mark 1:10-11; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 12:29-30)
Jesus is the Son of God. He is God come to Earth in the form of man, the only Son of God. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. It is only through faith in Him that man can have relationship with God and be assured of eternal life. Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved.
(John 3:16-17; 1 John 2:2; Ephesians 1:7; John 1:14; Romans 3:25-26)
He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus and dwells in everyone who has been born again. All believers should also seek to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. He empowers us as believers for witnessing and effective service. He provides the Christian with comfort, power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He is co-equal with the Father and the Jesus Christ.
(Titus 3:5; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Luke 24:49)
All of the Bible is the written Word of God. It is the first authority for our life and faith in Jesus.
(2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 15:4; Acts 17:11-12)
All spiritual gifts mentioned in the New Testament are available for the church today.
